Western New England Ice Hockey Featured on SportsCenter Top 10

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (January 27, 2017) – The Western New England University ice hockey team was featured on the Top 10 segment of ESPN's SportsCenter on Wednesday night.

Western New England appeared at No. 8 on the West Coast edition of SportsCenter after hosting Ryan D'Emidio for a ceremonial puck drop prior to the Golden Bears' comeback victory over Johnson & Wales last Saturday.

D'Emidio, who was born with cerebral palsy and other learning difficulties, recently graduated from the same high school in Woodbridge, Va. as Western New England sophomore defenseman James Vuillemot. The two spoke over the summer, and James invited Ryan to attend Saturday's contest with his family.
