Junior Chris Goymer leads the way with fourth place effort in 29:39

CHICOPEE, Mass. (September 24, 2016) – The Western New England University men's cross country team placed four runners inside the top-10 on its way to a second place finish earlier today at the Blazer Invitational, hosted by Elms College at Chicopee State Park.

Top Performers
• Junior Chris Goymer (Pinecrest, Fla.) led the way for the Golden Bears, placing fourth overall in the 50-runner field with a time of 29:39 on the eight-kilometer course.
• Junior Adrian Barber (Castleton, N.Y.) followed Goymer in fifth place, clocking in at 30:01.
• Junior Jonathan Ricciardi (Pattersonville, N.Y.) earned a time of 30:04, good for sixth overall.

Also Scoring for Western New England
• Senior Eric Murphy (Holliston, Mass.) – ninth overall in 30:44.
• Sophomore Nico Gallo (Ludlow, Mass.) – 13th overall in 31:56.
