Western New England Finishes 26th at James Earley Invitational
Goymer leads Golden Bears with 105th place finish in 27:50.74
WESTFIELD, Mass. (October 8, 2016) – The Western New England University men's cross country team turned in a 26th place finish earlier today at the James Earley Invitational, hosted by Westfield State University at Stanley Park.
The Golden Bears posted a team-score of 658 on their way to 26th place in the 41-team field. Brandeis took the team title (68), while Tufts (108) and Norwich (189) rounded out the top-three. Gordon junior Damon Kilgore was the top individual finisher, completing the eight-kilometer course in 25:10.57.
Top Performers
• Junior Chris Goymer (Pinecrest, Fla.) paced Western New England with his 105th place finish in 27:50.74.
• Classmate Adrian Barber (Castleton, N.Y.) followed in 129th, clocking in with a time of 28:12.76.
• Senior Eric Murphy (Holliston, Mass.) earned a time of 28:28.04, good for 151st overall.

• Junior Tim Caves (Wenham, Mass.) – 190th overall in 29:01.81.
• Junior Jonathan Ricciardi (Pattersonville, N.Y.) – 202nd overall in 29:11.86.
