Two-Time All-CCC Standout Devyn Frank Invited to Play in NEWVA All-Star Match on Dec. 8
Frank certainly made her mark as one of the top 32 Division III senior volleyball student-athletes in New England this fall, earning All-Commonwealth Coast Conference First Team honors for the second time in her two seasons with the Golden Bears. The Mount Ida College transfer led WNE in kills (2.69), kill-average (2.4 kps), attack percentage (.332) and 78 total blocks, while contributing 36 service aces and a career-best 85 digs. She ranked in the CCC Top-10 in those first four categories, including a fourth-best in both hitting efficiency and blocks.
"Devyn has had an outstanding career and I'm excited for her to have an opportunity to play one last match," Western New England coach Bret Stothart said. "Playing in the NEWVA Senior Classic is a well-deserved honor as she clearly ranks as one of the top players throughout New England."
The forensic biology major hit over .300 with 888 kills for her 414-set career that included the 2009 and 2010 seasons at Mount Ida.
Frank is one of six CCC representatives chosen by coaches to play in the showcase event.
