Game Review
Western New England was able to establish an early lead as Daigneault tapped in a loose ball just 2:39 into the contest to give the Golden Bears a 1-0 advantage.

At the 28:30 mark, Harvey doubled Western New England's lead with her second goal of the season. Dufour stopped all five of the shots she faced in the first half as the Golden Bears led 2-0 at the break.

Cenatiempo got Roger Williams on the board nine minutes into the second half when she took a pass up the middle from Coppinger and buried a shot into the left corner of the cage.

The Hawks then equalized at the 51:46 mark following a penalty corner as McCarthy scored on a feed from Coppinger.

Neither team was able to secure a game-winning goal over the remainder of regulation or during the two ten-minute overtime periods, sending the contest to a penalty shootout.

McCarthy was unable to convert on the opening penalty stroke for the Hawks, before Western New England took a 1-0 lead on its first attempt as junior Jacqueline Clark (Auburn, Mass.) scored for the Golden Bears.

Roger Williams tied the shootout on its third attempt courtesy of Coppinger, but freshman Maggie Gallagher (West Chester, Pa.) put the Golden Bears ahead on their fourth try and Dufour stopped sophomore Lea Peterson (Upton, Mass.) to seal the win.
