Lana Felice & Leah Kelemen Named to All-CCC First Team

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (October 29, 2018) – Senior midfielder Lana Felice (Pawling, N.Y.) and senior defender Leah Kelemen (Bartlett, N.H.) of the Western New England University field hockey team have both earned All-Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) first team recognition, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.

Felice caps her career with her first All-CCC selection after starting all 18 games for the Golden Bears this fall and compiling nine points with two goals and five assists.

Felice's goals came in wins over Roger Williams (9/21) and Westfield State (10/23), while she recorded assists against Wheaton (9/2), the University of New England (9/12), Salve Regina (9/15), Nichols (10/2) and Westfield State (10/23).

In 75 career appearances (67 starts), Felice has totaled 25 points with five goals and 15 assists.

Kelemen also receives All-CCC recognition for the first time in her career after starting all 18 games and anchoring Western New England's defensive unit.

Kelemen's two defensive saves are tied for ninth in the CCC through the conclusion of the regular season.

Western New England (7-11), which earned the third seed in the CCC Tournament, will travel to No. 2 seed University of New England on Thursday for a semifinal contest.
