Seven From WNE Men’s Lacrosse Named to NEILA All-Academic Team

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (July 10, 2023) – The Western New England men's lacrosse team continues to rack up post season awards, this time, earning seven names to the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's All-Academic Team. 

Nominees must have a senior of graduate standing, a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale and must have been an impact player for their respective team. Senior Dylan Hanley (New Fairfield, Conn.), Graduate Student Mike Bannon (Edmond, Okla.), Senior Sean Farland (Fiskdale, Mass.), Senior Ben Kolb (Franklin, Mass.), Senior Tim Kolb (Franklin, Mass.), Graduate Student Noah Rust (Windham, N.H.), and Senior Brian Madden (Brookfield, Conn.) were all named to the NEILA All-Academic Team. 

The seven Golden Bears were among the 320 student athletes recognized from across NCAA Division I, II, and III, which is a record number of student-athletes nominated for this award.
