Men’s Tennis Falls in CCC Home Opener
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (March 30, 2023) – The Western New England men's tennis team fell at the Volvo Tennis Courts on Thursday afternoon to the Seahawks of Salve Regina University, being defeated 8-1 on a cold Thursday afternoon.

- Western New England: 2-5, 1-1 CCC
- Salve Regina: 3-2, 2-1 CCC
How it Happened:
WNE would see their only win come in the first match of the day when Nick Bayer and Brandon Greger took a 8-2 doubles victory. Salve would collect two doubles wins to lead 2-1 heading into singles action.
Western New England would battle in a shortened match, as Brandon Greger would drop a 3-6, 4-6 match while Michael Robichaud would battle in the second set of the #2 singles match, though fell 0-6, 4-6. Two matches would go three sets though would not favor the blue and gold as Paul Riccio would fall 2-6, 6-4, 6-7 (10-12) while Kevin Sharpe would fall 6-2, 3-6, 4-6 in three sets.
