Courtney Carlson Named CCC Player of the Week
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Senior forward Courtney Carlson (Woodbury, Conn.) of the Western New England University women's basketball team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
In a 2-0 week for the Golden Bears, Carlson averaged 16.0 ppg, 4.5 reb/g, and 2.5 ast./g. On Saturday, Carlson had 22 points, four assists, and three rebounds against Endicott.
The Golden Bears currently sit atop the CCC standings.
Western New England (15-3, 8-1 CCC) will look to extend its winning streak to six games as they travel to Roger Williams on Tuesday evening.
