John Klepacki Selected to Coach in 76th Annual USILA/Nike North-South Game

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (May 18, 2017) – Western New England University head men's lacrosse coach John Klepacki has been selected to coach in the 76th Annual United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA)/Nike Division III North-South Game, the organization announced on Wednesday.

The all-star games, which feature the top senior lacrosse players in the nation, will be held at Anderson Stadium on the campus of Providence College next Friday, May 26. The Division III contest is scheduled for 3 p.m., with the Division I/II game set to follow at 5:30 p.m. Brooks Singer of Catholic University will serve as the other coach for the DIII game, while Marty Ward (Florida Southern) and Chris Gabrielli (Providence) will handle coaching duties for the DI/II contest.

Klepacki, who completed his 16th season at the helm of the Western New England University men's lacrosse program in 2016, led the Golden Bears to an 8-10 record (7-1 Commonwealth Coast Conference) and their fifth consecutive appearance in the CCC Tournament championship game. The Southington, Conn. native has overseen all eight of Western New England's appearances in the NCAA DIII Tournament, and he has developed 21 USILA All-Americans during his tenure. Klepacki has a career record of 212-90 (.702) in 16 seasons.

The USILA/Nike North-South games were first held in 1940 and have been played every year with the exception of 1944 and 1945. The games will bring together over 120 of the finest senior men's lacrosse players in the country.
