Dudeck becomes second three-time All-American in program history

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (May 24, 2017) – Seniors Keegan Dudeck (Longmeadow, Mass.) and Steven Patrie (Lewiston, Maine) of the Western New England University men's lacrosse team have earned honorable mention All-America recognition from the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA), the organization announced on Wednesday afternoon.

Dudeck, who was also selected to play in the USILA/Nike North-South Division III All-Star Game on Friday at Providence College, earns this honor for the third time in his career after compiling 42 points (20 goals, 22 assists) in just 14 games this season. The senior midfielder recorded multiple points on 11 occasions this spring, including a pair of five-point efforts and a season-high seven-point performance in Western New England's 13-7 win at Gordon on March 29. Dudeck becomes just the second three-time All-American in program history, joining Jared Pabis '09.

Earning All-America status for the second straight year is Patrie, Western New England's defensive leader and two-time team captain. Patrie started all 18 games this spring, collecting 22 ground balls and causing ten turnovers for a defense that surrendered just 6.63 goals per game in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play. The Lewiston, Maine native is Western New England's 14th two-time All-American.

The Golden Bears went 8-10 (7-1 CCC) this spring and reached the championship game of the CCC Tournament for the seventh consecutive season.
