Klesyk Earns CCC Offensive Player of the Week

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (October 11, 2022) – After netting two goals for the Golden Bears in a 6-2 CCC win over Salve Regina University, the Commonwealth Coast Conference has announced WNE's Taylor Klesyk as CCC Offensive Player of the Week. 

Klesyk came away with two goals in her most recent outing at Salve Regina University, picking up goal numbers six and seven on the season in the win. On the season, the graduate student has collected 20 points (7 G, 6 A) and leads the team in all three categories. Klesyk has collected 33 shots, putting 23 on goal and has scored two game winning goals for Western New England. 

Over her career with the Golden Bears, Klesyk has scored 37 goals, picked up 16 assists and totaled 90 points. Those numbers are all good for top ten in the WNE Field Hockey record books. 

WNE Field Hockey returns to Golden Bear Stadium on Wednesday, October 12 at 7:00 pm when they host Smith College in non-conference action. The Golden Bears meet Endicott College on Saturday, October 15 at 1:00 pm for CCC play from Golden Bear Stadium.
