Restall’s Dominate Week Earns CCC Player of the Week

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (February 21, 2023) – Western New England junior forward Tim Restall picked up his first CCC Men's Basketball Player of the Week award this week after throwing down 47 points, 26 rebounds and three blocks for the Golden Bears. 

Restall started the week with 24 points on 9/13 shooting from the field, knocking down six free throws in the process. Restall grabbed four rebounds and two assists for the Golden Bears in their 79-70 win over Suffolk University. The Tolland, Connecticut native played in all 40 minutes on Saturday at Gordon College, setting a new career high in rebounds, snatching 22 total boards, seven offensive and 15 defensive for WNE. Restall also grabbed an assist, a steal and three blocked shots to go along with his 23 points on the afternoon. Restall's has now scored 20 or more in three straight games and has accumulated that mark eight times this season. 

In 25 games and 25 starts this season, Restall has averaged 16.6 points per game while shooting 53.4% from the field, grabbing an average of just under ten rebounds a game while collecting 2.3 assists per game. 

Western New England men's basketball returns home on Tuesday, February 21 at 7:00 pm to host the Commonwealth Coast Conference Quarterfinal game as the number two seed against the seventh seeded Salve Regina University Seahawks. The winner of the contest will take on the winner of the #3 Endicott College and #6 Roger Williams University game on Thursday, February 23.
