Ryan Zogby Named CCC Golfer of the Week
New Hartford, N.Y. native finished 8th at Bill Detrick Invitational over the weekend
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (September 9, 2019) – Junior Ryan Zogby (New Hartford, N.Y.) of the Western New England University men's golf team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Golfer of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
Zogby earns this honor for the first time this season and fourth time in his career following his season-opening performance at the Bill Detrick Invitational over the weekend.
The New Hartford, N.Y. native led the way for the Golden Bears, finishing eighth in the 59-golfer field with a 36-hole score of 149. Zogby shot an opening round one-over par 73 on Saturday and followed that up with a 76 in the second round on Sunday.
As a team, Western New England placed fifth in the 10-team field with a score of 627.
The Golden Bears will be back in action next weekend at the Duke Nelson Invitational, hosted by Middlebury College at Ralph Myhre Golf Course in Middlebury, Vt.
