Ryan Zogby Receives CCC Golfer of the Week Honors
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Junior Ryan Zogby (New Hartford, N.Y.) of the Western New England University men's golf team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Golfer of the Week for the sixth time in his career, the league office announced on Monday.
Zogby earns CCC weekly accolades following his strong finish to the fall season at the NEIGA Championship, which was held last Sunday and Monday at the Captains Golf Course in Brewster, Mass.
Zogby posted scores of 75 (+3) on both days, finishing in a tie for fifth place in the 114-golfer field with a 36-hole total of 150. As a team, the Golden Bears placed fourth in the 22-team field.
Zogby's NEIGA Championship performance was two strokes better than his 152 at last year's tournament, which was also good for a fifth-place finish. As a freshman in 2017, Zogby placed 23rd with a two-day total of 154 in his NEIGA Championship debut.
