Ryan Zogby Receives Second Straight CCC Golfer of the Week Award
Zogby placed sixth in 118-golfer field at Duke Nelson Invitational over the weekend
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (September 16, 2019) – Junior Ryan Zogby (New Hartford, N.Y.) of the Western New England University men's golf team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Golfer of the Week for the second consecutive week, the league office announced on Monday.
Zogby led the Golden Bears over the weekend at the Duke Nelson Invitational, hosted by Middlebury College at Ralph Myhre Golf Course in Middlebury, Vt.
The junior tied for sixth place in the 118-golfer field with a two-over par score of 144. Zogby turned in an impressive opening round effort, as his two-under 69 had him tied atop the leaderboard. Zogby dropped to sixth place after carding a four-over 75 on Sunday.
Western New England will be back in action this weekend (September 21-22) at the Williams College Fall Invitational, held at Taconic Golf Club in Williamstown, Mass.
