WNE Swimming Named CSCAA Scholar All-America Team for Fall Semester

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (January 22, 2019) – The Western New England University women's swimming team has been named a Scholar All-America Team for the Fall 2018 semester by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), the organization announced on Tuesday. 

Western New England is among 713 college swimming teams from 460 institutions to be recognized with this award. In order to be eligible, teams must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the fall semester, and maintain a roster of 12 or more student-athletes.

With a 3.35 team GPA last semester, the Golden Bears garner Scholar All-America Team honors from the CSCAA for the 19th time under head coach Andrea Daley.

Western New England has two home events this week, as the Golden Bears host the University of St. Joseph (Conn.) for a dual on Friday at 5 p.m., before welcoming St. Joseph's (Maine) and Western Connecticut on Saturday at 1 p.m.
