Beebe Picks Up CCC Softball Pitcher of the Week

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (March 13, 2023) – Senior Megan Beebe has earned CCC Softball Pitcher of the Week after making two starts this week so far, picking up two wins for WNE while dotting a 1.62 ERA to begin the season. 

Beebe went the first six innings for WNE in the circle in the season opener against SUNY Geneseo, giving up just two hits and two runs while walking one and striking out five on her way to her first victory of the season. Beebe would record her second with of the season against Carthage College in a 4-2 victory on Sunday, March 12, where Beebe would go the distance for the first time this season throwing all seven innings giving up just three hits and two runs (one earned) while walking two and striking out seven to lead the Golden Bears to victory. 

On the season, the Ellington, Connecticut native has thrown 13 innings, giving up five hits and four runs (three earned), while walking three and striking out 12 batters. 

WNE will continue their Spring Break schedule as part of The Spring Games, in Clermont, Florida this week. The Golden Bears will take on Carroll University (Wisc.) at 11:30 AM and SUNY Oswego at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 13.
