Bruehwiler played 82 of the game's 100 minutes and found the back of the net with both of her shots on target. The freshman gave the Golden Bears the lead in the 68th minute, before securing the win for Western New England with her second strike at the tail end of the first overtime period.

Sophomore forward Morgan Smith (Manchester, Conn.) was also a consistent threat on offense, as she fired a game-high six shots with three on frame.

Mount Holyoke junior forward Hannah Finn-Erb (Northampton, Mass.) scored the Lyons' lone goal with less than ten minutes remaining in regulation.

Game Review
The Western New England attack peppered Mount Holyoke senior goalkeeper Amanda Manaster (Beverly Hills, Calif.) with shots early and often, as Smith put three attempts on target in the opening five minutes of the game. Overall, the Golden Bears outshot the Lyons 18-2 in the first half, but the score was tied 0-0 at intermission.

The second half was more evenly played, but neither team was able to break through until Bruehwiler finally beat Manaster with a shot at the 67:06 mark.

Still trailing by a goal late in regulation, Mount Holyoke came up with an equalizer in the 81st minute when Finn-Erb scored on a feed from junior midfielder Cora Melcher (Portland, Maine).

Both teams had opportunities to win the game with shots on goal in the overtime period, including two attempts by the Lyons that were saved by Western New England senior goalkeeper Marissa Veilleux (Newington, Conn.).

With the clock ticking down in the final seconds of the frame, sophomore midfielder Mariana Goncalves (Ludlow, Mass.) fired a shot off the crossbar and the rebound fell to Bruehwiler, who slotted the ball home to give the Golden Bears the win.

Notes
• Western New England outshot Mount Holyoke 24-8 and held a 6-2 advantage in corner kicks.
• All three of Veilleux's saves came in the second half and overtime.
