How it Happened: The Golden Bears had a slow start against the Endicott College Gulls who picked up the first goal within 40 seconds and followed with three more. Maggie Holt battled her way to the net out of the draw to give WNE their first score at the 5:45 mark in the first quarter. Samantha Vitka put one in before the end of the first for the Golden Bears to trail 4-2. In the second quarter it took more of a fight to get the ball in the back of the net. Anabella Arias brought WNE only down one with 9:45 left in the half, but then they let Endicott go on 3-0 run, Carly Pierce with two of the three, and Endicott regained a four-point lead, 7-3 at halftime.

To open the second half, Vitka reached the goal out of the first draw control, 7-4. A free position shot gave EC the chance to score again. They took an 11-5 lead after three quarters with four goals. A harder battle to get back in the game, the Golden Bears Mia Celetano got a ball to reach the back of the net in the first couple of minutes in the final quarter. The Gulls couldn't be stopped from scoring. They shot in four more goals that brought them ahead 15-6 with 3:42 left in the game.
