Western New England College drops pair of matches at Wesleyan Invitational

MIDDLETOWN, Conn.
- The Western New England College women's volleyball team dropped a pair of 3-0 decisions to both Wesleyan and Trinity at the Wesleyan Invitational Saturday (Oct. 23). The Golden Bears are now 8-18 on the season.

Wesleyan opened the day by defeating Western New England College 25-17, 25-19, and 25-23.

The Cardinals were led by junior outside hitter Casey Reed (Manhattan Beach, CA) with 15 kills, and sophomore setter Laura Yim (San Mateo, CA) with 36 assists.

The Golden Bears were led by freshman outside hitter Maureen Pollet (Dix Hills, NY) with eight kills, senior setter Katharina Boes (Buffalo Grove, IL) had 26 assists.

Trinity defeated Western New England College by the scores of 25-16, 27-25, and 25-11.

The Bantams were led by sophomore outside hitter Danielle Isaman (West Hartford, CT) with 12 kills. Junior setter Jennifer Low (San Francisco, CA) had 34 assists in the match.

The Golden Bears were led by senior middle blocker Lauren Landri (New Canaan, CT) with eight kills, while Boes again contributed 26 assists.

Western New England College returns to action on Wednesday (Oct. 27) against conference opponent Regis at 7:00 p.m.
