Western New England College standout Katharina Boes named to All-NEWVA Team

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Western New England College senior Katharina Boes (Buffalo Grove, IL) added another top award to her collection when she received an honorable mention on the All-New England Division III Women’s Volleyball Team Thursday (Nov. 11).

 (NEWVA) selected the team.

“Katharina has contributed to the Golden Bears’ program in monumental ways as both a player and leader,” said Western New England College coach Kait Kozak. “Her competitive drive and athletic ability and skill gave her and her teammates the opportunity to compete at a high level. Katharina is well deserving of any award and I am proud to have coached her for two years.”

Boes, a setter, was a two-year captain for Western New England College and one of the top players in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC). She was a four-time All-TCCC honoree and a First-Team selection the past two years.

During her career Boes compiled a school record 3,786 assists in 457 games (8.3 avg.) and finished among the school leaders in digs (965), blocks (207), and service aces (205).

Boes is a Sport Management major.
