Western New England recipient of prestigious Academic Team Award by the NEWVA
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – For the first time in program history, Western New England has been named a recipient of the New England Women’s Volleyball Association (NEWVA) Academic Team Award.
The Golden Bears were among 15 schools earning the prestigious honor after compiling a team grade-point-average of at least 3.30 for the fall semester.
Established in 2008, the NEWVA Academic Team Award recognizes the hard work and dedication of the team’s student-athletes off the court and in the classroom.
Here is the complete list of the NEWVA Academic Team winners – Bowdoin, Connecticut College, Emerson, Emmanuel, Husson, MIT, Middlebury, Roger Williams, Salve Regina, Springfield, Trinity, Wesleyan, Western New England, Westfield State, and Williams.
Roger Williams, Salve Regina, and Western New England are members of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC).
