Four Western New England women's volleyball players earn All-Conference honors

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Four members of the Western New England women’s volleyball team gained recognition on the All-Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Team, as announced by Commissioner Gregg Kaye on Thursday (Nov. 3).
 
Sophomore outside hitter Maureen Pollet (Dix Hills, NY) was named to the Second Team. She currently leads the Golden Bears with 245 kills on the year for an average of 2.51 kills per game.
 
Three WNE freshman earned Honorable Mention; outside hitter Kasey Cameron (Reading, MA), libero Grace Kucharski (Avon, CT), and setter Val Smith (Norristown, PA).
 
Cameron is currently second on the team with 228 kills.
 
Kucharski has a team-high 434 digs and is currently second in the conference with 53 service aces.
 
Smith leads the team with 504 total assists, and her average of 8.26 per game is good for second in the league.
 
After defeating fifth-seed UNE 3-2 on Wednesday (Nov. 2), the fourth-seeded Golden Bears will travel to top-seed Roger Williams for a CCC Championship semifinal tonight at 7:00 p.m.
