Twelve Golden Bears Earn NFF Hampshire Honor Society Recognition

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 12, 2019) – Twelve members of the Western New England University football team have been recognized as members of the 2019 National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society, as announced by the NFF and the College Football Hall of Fame on Wednesday.

Western New England's 12 honorees are among a record 1,672 student-athletes from 429 colleges and universities to earn this recognition.

Members of the NFF Hampshire Honor Society are nominated by their respective schools and must meet the following criteria:

• Completed their final year of playing eligibility in 2018.
• Achieved a cumulative 3.2 grade point average throughout entire course of undergraduate study.
• Been starters or significant contributors throughout the 2018 season.
