Golden Bears Split Double Dual with Plymouth State and Eastern Connecticut

Snider & Sheinhait post NEISDA 'A' cut qualifying efforts

PLYMOUTH, N.H. (November 18, 2017) –
The Western New England University women's swimming team split a double dual meet with Plymouth State University and Eastern Connecticut State University on Saturday at the PSU Natatorium. 

The Golden Bears defeated Plymouth State, 143-80, but fell to Eastern Connecticut State University, 155-93.

Top Performers
• Sophomore Kayla Snider (Leesburg, Va.) posted a NEISDA 'A' cut qualifying time in the 200-yard backstroke, as she finished second and clocked in at 2:26.16. Snider also turned in a 'B' cut effort in the 200-yard freestyle (2:14.92), while her time of 2:23.50 in the 200-yard individual medley was just 0.07 seconds shy of Western New England's school record in the event.
• Senior Erika Sheinhait (Framingham, Mass.) registered a NEISDA 'A' cut qualifying time in the 200-yard butterfly (2:39.22), where she placed second.
• Sophomore Emily Elliott (Cortland, N.Y.) earned 'B' cut times in both the 50-yard freestyle (28.83 seconds) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:51.55).
• Senior Janelle Lief (San Jose, Calif.) produced a 'B' cut performance in the 200-yard butterfly (2:45.92).
