Western New England College setter Katharina Boes named TCCC Player-of-the-Week

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Western New England College junior setter Katharina Boes (Buffalo Grove, IL) was named The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Women's Volleyball Player-of-the-Week on Monday (Oct. 19).

Boes averaged 9.0 assists and 2.8 digs in 13 games as the Golden Bears captured three matches against league opponents.

She opened the week with 37 assists, 15 digs, and four kills in a four-game win over Gordon.

A Sport Management major, Boes barely missed a triple double after recording a season high 44 assists with 11 digs, and nine kills in a 3-2 win over Salve Regina.

She closed the week with 36 assists and 10 digs in a 3-1 victory at the University of New England.

Western New England College is 20-8 overall and 5-1 in the conference. The Golden Bears host Colby-Sawyer at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday (Oct. 20) during Senior Night at the Alumni healthful Living Center.
