Western New England College earns home match against Endicott in ECAC Division III Championship

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Western New England College women’s volleyball team will host Endicott at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 11) in a quarterfinal match of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Championship in the Alumni Healthful Living Center.

The Golden Bears (26-9) are seeded fourth while the Gulls (19-16) are seeded fifth.

Both teams are members of The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC).

Western New England College set a school record for wins this past season and finished second in the conference tournament after falling to Roger Williams 3-1 in the title match last Saturday (Nov. 7).

WNEC and Endicott tied for first in the conference during the regular season with 9-1 marks.

The Gulls, who lost to Roger Williams in three sets in the tournament semifinals, defeated Western New England College 3-2 during their regular season meeting September 19 in Springfield in gaining the top seed in TCCC Tournament.
