Baseball Set To Open 2022 Season on March 1

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (February 25, 2022) - The Western New England baseball team has announced their 2022 schedule today, with first pitch of the 2022 season set for March 1, 2022 at Clark University. 

Western New England will open their 2022 schedule with the first 12 games on the road, with seven of those being played at the Russ Matt Invitational in Florida for baseball's spring break trip. The Golden Bears will open their 2022 schedule from Gerorge E. Trelease Park on Friday, March 25 at 3:30 pm when they host Westfield State University at 3:30 pm. WNE will open their conference schedule when Nichols College visits Springfield on March 29 at 3:30 pm. The March schedule wraps up when the Beacons of UMass-Boston come to town for a non-conference game. 

Western New England opens the month of April to CCC stops at Endicott College (April 2) and at Wentworth Institute (April 5) before returning to Trelease Park on April 7 for a non-conference game with Keene State. WNE hosts their first conference doubleheader just two days later as they welcome Gordon College to down at noon on April 9. The Golden Bears will play host to Roger Williams (April 16) and Suffolk University (April 23) on back to back weekends from Trelease Park. Western New England wraps up their 2022 home slate with a visit from Wentworth Institute before closing out the regular season with six straight on the road, finishing the season with Curry College on May 7 for a doubleheader, which begins at 11:00 am.
