Golden Bears Swim to 122-82 Win at Rhode Island College

Lief, Sheinhait post two event wins each

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (November 18, 2016) – Five different Golden Bears posted individual event wins as the Western New England University women's swimming team earned a 122-82 dual meet victory at Rhode Island College this evening.    

Top Performers
• Juniors Janelle Lief (San Jose, Calif.) and Erika Sheinhait (Framingham, Mass.) led the way for the Golden Bears, winning two events each. Lief posted times of 31.35 seconds and 2:48.88 in the 50 and 100-yard butterfly, respectively, while Sheinhait finished first in the 100-yard freestyle (1:01.91) and 200-yard freestyle (2:17.59).
• Junior Ali Johnstone (Southwick, Mass.) won the 50-yard breaststroke after clocking in with a time of 38.37 seconds.
• Freshman Brittany Bosma (North Port, Fla.) and senior Emily Trumbley (Prospect, Conn.) also picked up wins for the Golden Bears in the 50-yard freestyle (27.58 seconds) and 200-yard backstroke (2:49.59), respectively.
