KEENE, N.H. (September 27, 2017) – The Keene State College men's soccer team outlasted Western New England University to earn a 3-2 victory in non-conference action on Wednesday evening at the Owl Athletic Complex.

Top Performers
• Senior midfielder Logan Pingree (Middletown, Conn.) and sophomore midfielder Corey Brown (Somers, Conn.) both found the back of the net for the Golden Bears.

• Senior forward Promise Kpee (Manchester, N.H.), senior defender William Salta (Laconia, N.H.) and junior midfielder Samuel Binogono (Manchester, N.H.) all scored for Keene State.

Match Review
• Brown staked the Golden Bears to a 1-0 lead just 19 seconds into the contest with a shot that found the right corner of the net.
• Kpee equalized for Keene State at the 10:43 mark, before setting Salta up for the go-ahead goal just 1:23 later.
• The home team took its 2-1 lead into the break, before adding an insurance goal in the 86th minute when Binogono fired a shot from the left side into the right netting.
• Western New England cut its deficit to one at the 87:03 mark as Pingree chipped a shot over Keene State senior goalkeeper Jason Smith (Gales Ferry, Conn.).

Notes
• The Golden Bears outshot the Owls 17-10, while the two teams were even with six corner kicks each.
• Pingree ranks second on the team with four goals this season.
