Tyler Pohlig Named CCC Rookie of the Week
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (January 6, 2020) – Freshman defenseman Tyler Pohlig (Broomall, Pa.) of the Western New England University men's ice hockey team has been recognized by the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) as the Rookie of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Pohlig earns this honor after scoring two goals, the first two of his career, in a 2-2 tie with Framingham State on Saturday evening.
In 12 appearances this season, Pohlig has two goals and one assist.
A graduate of La Salle College High School, Pohlig played four years of hockey before playing for the New Jersey Rockets of the NCDC.
Western New England (3-7-2) travels to Albertus Magnus on Tuesday night.
