Men's Ice Hockey Shutout at Curry

CANTON, Mass. (February 7, 2020) – The Western New England University men's ice hockey team was shutout at Curry, 4-0, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Friday evening at the Canton Ice House.

Top Performers
Curry had four different goal scorers. The Colonels received goals from junior Viktor Jansson (Stockholm, Sweden), sophomore Alex Ochterbeck (Dallas, Texas), junior Michael Snow (Medford, Mass.), and sophomore Nick Magill-Diaz (Troy, Mich.). Ochterbeck and Mic Curran (Arlington, Mass.) each provided two assists.

Golden Bear goaltender Kyle Carducci (Rocky Hill, Conn.) had 50 saves in the game.

Game Review
Curry opened the scoring midway through the first period when Jansson found the back of the net. Curran and Ochterbeck provided the assists on the goal. Ochterbeck added to the Colonels' lead midway through the second period.

Curry scored two goals in the third period. Snow grabbed a goal within the first two minutes of the period, while Magill-Diaz grabbed his goal midway through the third period on a power play.

Notes
• This is the third game in which Carducci has had at least 50 saves.

Western New England (3-15-2) and Curry (13-4-3) will face off against each other on Saturday evening at the Olympia Ice Center.
