Men’s Ice Hockey Falls at Nichols

HARRISVILLE, R.I. (January 25, 2020) – The Western New England University men's ice hockey fell to Nichols, 8-1, on Saturday evening at Levy Rink.

Top Performers
The Bison received a hat trick from junior Nate Foster (West Chazy, N.Y.). Sophomore Curtis Carlson (Lakewood, N.Y.) had five points with two goals and three assists. Senior J.B. Baker (Columbia, Md.) added three assists as well for Nichols.

Senior forward Andrew Green (Plainview, N.Y.) scored the lone goal for the Golden Bears.

Game Review
The Bison came out strong to begin the game, scoring three goals in the first period. The goals came from Foster, Carlson, and senior Hogan Davidson (Duluth, N.Y.).

Nichols extended their lead further by scoring two more goals in the second period. Carlson grabbed the first followed by sophomore Justin Perron (Thetford Mines, Quebec).

Bison senior David Chevrier (Baie-D'ufre, Quebec) opened the scoring early in third period, giving Nichols a 6-0 lead. Foster grabbed the next two goals for the Bison, completing his hat trick for the night with just under a minute remaining. Green scored for the Golden Bears on a power play with 0:18 remaining.

• Nichols held a 47-14 shot advantage

Western New England (3-12-2) will travel to Endicott on Friday evening. Nichols (6-11) will host Wentworth on Friday evening.
