Arygle, Claflin & Doyle Selected to NEISL Senior All-Star Game

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Western New England University seniors Charlie Argyle (Plymouth, Mass.), Brendan Claflin (Burlington, Mass.) and Bryan Doyle (Southington, Conn.) have been selected to compete in the New England Intercollegiate Soccer League (NEISL) All-Star Game on Sunday (12/1) at Brandeis University.

Argyle, Claflin & Doyle are among 53 of the region's top senior men's soccer players selected for the All-Star Game.

Argyle, who played two seasons for the Golden Bears after transferring from Springfield College, led Western New England and ranked fifth in the CCC with 19 points (seven goals, five assists) this season. The All-CCC second team selection compiled 26 points (ten goals, 16 assists) over 35 career contests (19 starts).

Claflin, also a Springfield College transfer, joined Argyle on the All-CCC second team after producing 16 points (six goals, four assists) this season. In 38 career matches (36 starts) with Western New England, Claflin recorded 28 points with 11 goals and six assists.

Doyle capped his career by earning his third consecutive All-CCC selection this season. The first team honoree was a key defensive contributor for a squad that posted a CCC-best 11 shutouts this season. Doyle also chipped in offensively with one goal and two assists. A 2019 team captain, Doyle started 70 of the 76 games he appeared in over his four-year career.

Western New England finished 12-6-2 (4-3-1 CCC) this season and fell to Nichols in the first round of the CCC Tournament.
