Western New England Men’s & Women’s Soccer Teams Earn Academic Awards From United Soccer Coaches
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (October 13, 2017) – The Western New England University men's and women's soccer teams were both recognized with Team Academic Awards from the United Soccer Coaches, the organization announced.
A total of 847 soccer teams (298 men, 549 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2016-17 academic year, qualifying them for the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award.
Western New England is also among 213 schools to have both their men's and women's programs receive this recognition. The Golden Bear men posted a 3.15 GPA, while the women had a 3.24 GPA.
