Wrestling Reveals 2021-22 Schedule
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (October 14, 2021) – Western New England's wrestling team is ready to announce their 2021-22 season schedule.
The wrestling team opens with an invitational at Ithaca College on November 5 and 6. They turn around the following week, November 13, to host the City of Champions Tournament at Western New England, where they face off with Springfield College, Springfield Technical Community College, and American International College. On November 19, The Golden Bears are up against Messiah College at home and concludes the month on November 20 at the Doug Parker Invitational Tournament hosted by Springfield College.
December 3, the Golden Bears are away for a match with Rhode Island College. They are back at home for their battle with New England College on December 10. The Golden Bears end the semester at home wrestling T Roger Williams University on December 11, for the Scott Viera Invitational.
2022 starts off for the Golden Bears on the road. They begin at Williams College for the Williams Open on January 8. The following week, January 15, they are at Ursinus College for the Will Abele Invitational. On January 23, the Golden Bears travel to Johnson & Wales University for the NEWA Duals before they finally get a home match on January 28 against Castleton University. In February, Western New England only has one home wrestling meet on February 11 with Worcester Polytechnic Institute. The rest of the regular season is on the road. The Golden Bears are at Trinity College on February 5, before the Wesleyan dual on the 12th. Their last regular season match is back at Johnson & Wales for the NEWA Futures Tournament on February 19.
