BRISTOL, R.I. (March 29, 2017) – The Western New England University men's tennis team opened up Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play with an 8-1 loss to Roger Williams University on Wednesday afternoon.

• Freshman David Kalmer (Slingerlands, N.Y.) accounted for the Golden Bears' only win of the match, as he earned a hard-fought, 7-6, 6-7, 10-8 victory at No. 1 singles.
Match Review
• Roger Williams claimed all three doubles matches to open up a 3-0 lead.
• Kalmer was victorious at No. 1 singles, but the Hawks claimed flights 2-7 to earn an 8-1 triumph.
