Western New England Suffers 9-0 Loss to Eastern Nazarene

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 8, 2017) – The Western New England University men's tennis team suffered a 9-0 setback to Eastern Nazarene College on Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at the Volvo Outdoor Courts.

• Freshmen Luke Surawski (Wethersfield, Conn.) and Daniel O'Neill (Branford, Conn.) dropped a hard-fought battle at No. 2 doubles to Santiago Camero and Kyle Pierson, 8-5, as the Lions claimed a 3-0 lead through doubles play.
• At No. 1 singles, freshman David Kalmer (Slingerlands, N.Y.) came up just short against Alex Partyka, falling 6-1, 7-6 (7-3).
• Sophomore Michael Tran (West Haven, Conn.) was edged 7-5 in the opening set at No. 4 singles before falling 6-2 in the second set.
