Kade Howard Earns First Career CCC Golfer of the Week Award

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 15, 2019) – Sophomore Kade Howard (Ludlow, Mass.) of the Western New England University men's golf team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Golfer of the Week for the first time in his career, the league office announced on Monday.

Howard was Western New England's top performer at the Johnson & Wales University Wildcats Spring Invitational over the weekend at Cranston Country Club in Cranston, R.I.

The sophomore posted a 36-hole score of 152, placing him in a tie for 13th in the 101-golfer field. Howard shot a 78 during round one action on Saturday, and followed that up with a 74 (+3) on Sunday.

As a team, the Golden Bears finished 10th in the 20-team field with a score of 630.

Western New England will be back in action this Friday-Saturday at the UMass Dartmouth Spring Invitational, held at Allendale Country Club in North Dartmouth, Mass.
