Ryan Zogby Earns CCC Rookie of the Week Honors
New Hartford, N.Y. native tied for 18th place with 79 at RIC Invitational on Saturday
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 9, 2018) – Freshman Ryan Zogby (New Hartford, N.Y.) of the Western New England University men's golf team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Week, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.
Zogby tied for 18th place with a seven-over par 79 on Saturday as Western New England opened its spring season with a sixth-place finish at the Rhode Island College Invitational, held at Valley Country Club in Warwick, R.I.
Zogby competed in all six events and 11 rounds during the fall season, posting a scoring average of 78.2. His best showing was a one-over par 73 during round two of the NEIGA Championship on October 23.
Western New England will be back in action on Tuesday, April 17 at the Rich Korzec Invitational, hosted by Worcester State University at Blackstone National Golf Club in Sutton, Mass.
