Men's Lacrosse Drops 2022 Schedule

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (February 2, 2022) - The Western New England men's lacrosse team has announced their 2022 spring season schedule today.

The schedule, which will begin on February 19th at Clark University, will feature eight road games, seven home games, and two neutral site games in Florida during Western New England's spring break. Western New England opens their home schedule when Keene State College visits Golden Bears stadium on Wednesday, February 23 at 4:00 pm. The Golden Bears are 6-3 all time against the Owls, having won their last three meetings. Western New England will visit Coast Guard on February 26 at 3:00 pm before taking a two week break and heading to Lewiston, Maine to visit Bates College on March 9 at 4:30 pm.

Men's lacrosse will head to Tampa, Florida for two games during spring break which will feature St. Lawrence University (March 15), and Nazareth College (March 17). WNE returns from Florida to host Bowdoin College on March 23 at 4:00 pm. The Golden Bears will open conference play on March 26 when the University of New England visit Springfield at 4:00 pm. WNE will host their final non-conference game of the season on March 29, welcoming Amherst College at 7:00 pm under the lights of Golden Bears stadium. 

The Golden Bears lacrosse schedule will feature Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) games for the month on April. WNE begins a four game road trip on March 31 when they visit Curry College, followed by a stop in Springfield against Springfield College for the Golden Bears final non-conference game of the season. WNE will then meet Wentworth Institute of Technology (April 9) and Nichols College (April 13), before returning home on Saturday, April 16 for a 4:00 faceoff with Endicott College. WNE wraps up their 2022 schedule with a visit by Salve Regina University (April 19) to Golden Bear Stadium, a trip to Gordon College (April 23), and a home game with Roger Williams University for the regular season finale (April 27).
