Men's Lacrosse Selected Second in 2022 CCC Preseason Poll

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (February 18, 2022) - One day before they begin their 2022 campaign, the Western New England men's lacrosse team saw themselves second on the Commonwealth Coast Conference's 2022 men's lacrosse preseason poll. WNE received three first place votes, while top contender Endicott College was selected first with six first place votes.

The Golden Bears will look to continue their dominance of the CCC schedule as they return to the field for the 2022 season. Western New England returns their top scorer from last season as Mike Bannon (Edmond, Okla.) looks to contribute to the Golden Bears offense under 21st year head coach John Klepacki. WNE also returns Mitch Weiss (Westfield, Mass.) who was already named to the Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-American Second Team. Dylan Hanley (New Fairfield, Conn.) and Noah Rust (Windham, N.H.) will step onto the turf this season for Western New England after both having successful campaigns in 2021. Carter Randall (Sammamish, Wash.) will look to guide the Golden Bears in between the pipes throughout the season.

Western New England will open their 2022 sleight on Sunday, February 20 at 2:00 pm at Clark University. WNE hosts Keene State on Wednesday, February 23 at 4:00 pm for their first home game of the season.
