Weiss Named to Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-American Second Team

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (February 3, 2022) - Western New England University graduate student Mitch Weiss (Westfield, Mass.) has been named to the Inside Lacrosse presason all-american second team, as announced by the organization.

Weiss has had a standout four year career thusfar with the Golden Bears, playing defense for the men's lacrosse team. Over his shortened four year career, Weiss has collected four goals and added five assists to his resume. In total he has collected nine points, scooped 159 ground balls, caused 58 turnovers, and has taken eight shots on goals for WNE. Weiss and the Golden Bears have racked up a record of 41-16 over his four year career, including winning two CCC Championships. Weiss is the only member of the CCC to earn an all-american mention. 

The Golden Bears open their 2022 campaign on Saturday, February 19 when they travel to Worcester, Mass. and Clark University at 7:00 pm. WNE will open their home schedule on Wednesday, February 23 when they host Keene State College at 4:00 pm.
