Remillard Earns CCC Offensive Player of the Week Honors

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (October 3, 2016) – Junior forward Troy Remillard (Palmer, Mass.) of the Western New England University men's soccer team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference's (CCC) Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced this afternoon.

Remillard earns this honor after scoring four goals over two games last week as Western New England went 1-1. He registered his first career hat trick in Wednesday's 4-3 win over Keene State, before adding another goal on Saturday as the Golden Bears fell to Wentworth, 3-1.

Remillard has played in ten of Western New England's 11 matches this fall, and he leads the team with seven goals (2nd in CCC). The 2015 All-CCC first team selection has recorded 44 points with 21 goals and two assists in 51 career contests.

Western New England (4-7, 2-2 CCC) hosts Elms College in a non-conference contest tomorrow afternoon at 4 p.m.
