Logan Pingree Named CCC Offensive Player of the Week
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (October 11, 2016) – Junior midfielder Logan Pingree (Middletown, Conn.) of the Western New England University men's soccer team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference's (CCC) Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced this afternoon.
Pingree led the Golden Bears to a 2-0 record last week, tallying seven points with three goals and one assist. He contributed two goals and an assist in the first half of Western New England's 4-2 win over Elms College on Tuesday, before scoring the game-winner in the 61st minute of Saturday's 1-0 victory at Roger Williams University.
Through 14 games this fall, Pingree is tied for first on the team and third in the CCC with 18 points on seven goals and four assists. The Middletown, Conn. native has started 31 of the 50 matches he has appeared in over the course of his career, compiling 35 points on 13 goals and nine assists.
Western New England (6-8, 3-2 CCC) is off until Saturday, when the Golden Bears host Endicott College in their senior day contest at Suprenant Field.
